How long ago was the soft palate shortened? Because if you get it done while they are too young it may grow and need to be done again. I am surprised they even did it at that age. Usually they wait until they are a little more grown.

My 3 month old is doing well with potty training. But, I am wondering how to keep her face clean ...she is white and black. She is eating Science Diet food. The white looks a bit discolored on her white fur. Any ideas?

I am totally beside myself. My frenchie (Benjamin) is an absolute terror. We love him so much and can deal with the chewing and the digging and those kinds of things, but he is almost 2 and he still pees in the house! We got the smallest crate we could find where he can still lay down and he STILL pees in it. I can't have this. What should I do? Will neutering him help with this problem? I am just going nuts! PLEASE HELP!!!

Hi Debbi,

I have a Frenchie with 2 and a half months. Can you tell me how you have teached ED? We have a place for him to go, but he only goes there when we get angry with him because he has done some other place (like the living room carpet). After a few hours he forgets and does it anywhere again. We go outside with him 4 times a day and we get very supportive when me makes anything outside, but then again, after 3 hours he is urinating again where he shoudn't be.
Can you give me some hints to teach him to go to his place while he's at home and can't hold on?
Thank you

to andy:

the best way to "train" your puppy not to inhale his food is to use a bigger dish and place a tennis ball or some such thing into it. this way, the puppy has to eat around the object which slows the process down.

my frenchie Kanye is a little piglet and would inhale as much food as i put in his bowl with no signs of stopping. just stick to the recommended diet on the label and give treats. kanye and bianchi love carrots and sometimes a little bit of cheese.

Really good advice for anyone contemplating owning a dog. A lot of responsibility comes along with the dog and it should not be taken lightly. Our Frenchie is like a small child. He is a little ill after a stay at boarding kennels and we worry about him constantly.

I had our Frenchie neutered quite early on, because I didn't want him to "find his feet" so to speak. It has not done him any harm, he is a lovely well behave boy. I don't know if it calmed him down at all really, because he was young any way.
If I know 100% that I am not going to breed a dog I would always opt for the op
